Ferrari 625 S Ferrari 750 Monza TF

The Ferrari 625 TF model competition was the first Ferrari to use a four-cylinder engine. This small sports car weighing just 730 kg, thanks to its short tubular chassis and light engine. Its production was only three units during 1953.

In June 1953, made its debut two new Ferrari car TF 625 and 735 S. The 735 S piloted by Alberto Ascari and TF 625, piloted by Mike Hawthorn.

Both had very good performance. Ascari led much of the competition with its 735 S until it crashed leaving no chance to stay in the competition while the Ferrari 625 TF lost much ground in the long straights compared to its rivals, Hawthorn still managed to finish the race in a well deserved fourth place.

design of this Ferrari 625 TF

This Ferrari 625 TF Vignale was designed which had some similarities with the Ferrari 250 MM Barcheta the same designer. This car had two versions: a coupe and two Barcheta type units.

From the purely aesthetic point of view was pleasant and sophisticated in its design but for practical purposes of a race car, the design of S 735 was better by purely focusing on skills.
